About

This site was created to chronical the builds of three Jurassic Park Jeeps. The numbers #12, #18 and #29 from the first Jurassic Park movie.

Boomerjinks (Kevin Henry)
zmantis9000@yahoo.com
Jeep #18

He is the creator of the 1st Jurassic Park replica found on the internet. As a member of Something Awful forums he aimed to create the ultimate goon mobile. Having previously completing a Ghostbusters Ecto-1 from a Subaru Outback, Boomerjinks set out to make one bad ass Jeep. He has a nearly finished replica, built from a 1990 Jeep Wrangler.

Jeep #12

Inspired by Boomerjinks’ build, AJ set out to make a Jurassic Jeep of his own to have fun with. He is quite the car buff who always has three to four vehicles at any given time. He self taught himself how to work on cars, and can handle projects big and small. Currently restoring a 1971 Volkswagen in tandem with the Jeep build. He has always wanted a Jeep, and seeing Boomerjinks’ Jeep started the hunt! He is currently converting a 1993 Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

Brian Holder

Jeep #29

Also inspired by Boomerjinks’ build, Brian decided he too would make a Jurassic Jeep. He has always loved movie/media cars, and the Jurassic Jeep fits his idea of a fun car.ย  To Brian: other movie cars seemed that they may or may not be practical to use on a regular basis, whereas the jeep still is a jeep at heart, so can still be used as a regular vehicle.ย  His jeep is nearly a carbon copy of AJ’s as it isย  a 1993 Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

I hope this site stays up for a long time! I’ve always been fascinated by the jeeps from this movie since I saw it. I just need a chance to get my hand on an early 90’s Wrangler so I can start working on my own. Sadly, being 20 and working a minimum-wage job I’ve not got a lot to work with.

In any case these are perfect references. If you guys can share any of the sources for the more specialized items(InGen equipment, placards, etc) that would be awesome!

    Hello guys,

First off, FANTASTIC job on these Jeeps. I can’t get over the level of authenticity you’ve achieved. They look outstanding!

The main reason I’m commenting is because I’m hosting a private screening of Jurassic Park in 3D on April 12, and I really liked the idea of having one of your Jeeps present at the screening. It would be exciting to have you explain the process to everyone and maybe have everyone pose for pictures with the Jeep.

Are any of you located near Cleveland, Ohio? Obviously, we can talk about monetary reimbursement for your appearance…please just let me know if this is something we can arrange!

    Thanks for your time!

    Geoff

I currently have a 1995 Sahara edition that I would LOVE to transform into a JP Jeep. But alas… I’m only in high school with a part-time job. I’ve always loved the JP Jeeps, and when I got my Sahara for my first car, I couldn’t believe I could do such a thing with it. I would really just love to get it professionally done. ๐Ÿ˜‰
